Takedown team

What help is needed?

We need both a co-ordinator and team volunteers.

Volunteers are required to help get out of the building as quickly as possible on the final day of the exhibition. For a few hours, starting at 9am, we need volunteers to take down artwork, bubblewrap and label works as yet uncollected.

Additionally, from 2pm we need strong volunteers to help carry the exhibition screen panels and lighting system out to the goods lift and into a waiting van.

The co-ordinator will communicate with this year’s artists in October/November and ask them for availability, ensuring there are enough people on the day to achieve a smooth get-out. 

When?

In 2025, takedown will be Friday 28th November. The co-ordinator will have a little work to do in the weeks immediately before the exhibition. 

What time?

From 9am to 1pm – takedown and bubble-wrap

From 2pm – strong volunteers to carry

Who?

Takedown volunteers usually include artists – and willing friends amongst City colleagues
