Simon James Smith started his insurance career in the late 80’s as an underwriting assistant at the Lloyd’s Aviation Syndicate NRF being trained by the Aviation underwriter Mr. Peter Hubert before moving to the Sturge Aviation Syndicate. Simon has also spent time on the broking side of the business with Gallaghers, Marsh and Aon. After leaving the market to attend photography college and then travel the world with his camera in hand, Simon has recently returned as an Aviation account chandler with the Lloyd’s Broker AssuredPartners. Simon’s main focus in photography has been travel and cultural documentary. He has been published in various publications and received commendations from the following four international photography competitions: “Travel Photographer of the Year”, “British Life Photography Awards,” Pink Lady Food Photography Awards” and ” Event Photography Awards”. More recently Simon is engaged in Abstract Art Photography.
