I studied painting at Wimbledon College of Art and graduated in 2017, now I paint in my garden studio in Peckham. My work is often inspired by things I find in my daily life or talking to my sitters about what they like to do or look at. I would describe my painting as contemporary surrealist portraiture so that the viewer doesn’t need to know the person in the depiction but is able to imagine a story about them. Currently, paintings depict women in my life who inspire me, are hard-working and see the world in a positive way. Colour, line and nature are integral to my work, everywhere I go I draw inspiration from walking in nature and watching life appear through the seasons and light.
