Pau Ling is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans oil, charcoal, ink painting, calligraphy, watercolour, pencil, and installations.

She began training in Chinese ink painting and calligraphy at age 10 and held her first solo exhibition at 13, launching an international career. After her postgraduate architecture degree in the UK, she settled in London, where she now works as a senior actuary at Aspen.

Her architectural training and cross-cultural experiences shape a style that blends Eastern and Western traditions.

She regularly exhibits at Lloyd’s, winning the Aon Prize (2017) and the People’s Choice Award (2021, 2024). Aspen acquired her painting in 2023.

She has given talks and live demonstrations at the Bank of England, AXA XL, AON and Hilton. Her Pandemic Portraits series, now in the Bank of England Museum, captures colleagues’ lockdown challenges—including a portrait of Governor Andrew Bailey.

She also teaches, runs workshops, and accepts private commissions.
