A full time artist influenced by the zen qualities in Japanese art, my love of space and clear lines is evident in my contemporary works. I specialise in pure watercolour but am equally at home with a classic dip pen and Indian ink, and blending the two is both powerful and exciting. I am happiest when painting on a large scale and not totally in control of the outcomes – I love to experiment as I go, resolving a painting as it develops rather than having a total plan ahead of me. My photographer husband, Barry Devereux, was commissioned to photograph the Lloyds building as part of a City of London project for the then Lord Mayor of London, Sir Christopher Walford.
