I am a predominantly self-taught artist, primarily working with acrylics and mixed media enjoying the creative freedom they offer with texture and colour. My artwork is a direct response to the natural world. I often use tones not found in the natural landscape, resulting in my paintings taking on a more abstract quality. I photograph the landscape during my daily walks and journeys, relying on photographs and sketches to piece together fresh ideas back in the studio. These paintings don’t necessarily depict specific locations but instead convey a blend of images that evolve from my immersion in the landscape.

My husband is Active Underwriter with Chaucer Group.
