David lives and paints in London, but is originally from Nottinghamshire.
Studied Art & Design at Basford Hall College in Nottingham from 1996 to 1997 and then went on to do a Graphic Design Degree at Salford University as an Illustrator.
His work has been exhibited in Nottingham, Manchester, London and also in New York.
David has also won Best Newcomer 2012 for his portrait of Guy Garvey at Lloyd's Art Group (Lloyd's of London) and then won People's Choice in 2014 with his portrait of Jimi Hendrix and again in 2015 with Ray Winstone also at Lloyd's for best work.
In recent years painting really mattered when he suddenly found himself homeless. This continued to give him a positive focus and a direction.
With the help and support from the charities, Street Souls and St Mungos, David is now a full time Artist again.
While working on various personal projects, David does consider private commissions
David regularly exhibits and sells work in and around London including Lloyd’s Art Group, Artful Pelican (South East London), Nude Tin Can (St Albans) and Oink Gallery (Swindon)
