I have been a dabbling artist since I can remember – it was my favourite subject in art in high school – before falling into finance and insurance. Some years later, starting my own family rekindled my interest. I use oil, acrylic, watercolour, gouache or ink, my favourite pieces arriving from a feeling or mood, often without planning, often quickly. I try to make art that makes people feel happy. I enjoy landscapes and still life, though lately much of my work has come from imagination. Influences include impressionists like Cézanne, cinematographers Lubezki and Deakins, film directors Kubrick and Malick and photographer David LaChapelle.

I joined the Lloyd’s market in 2011 when I joined MS Amlin and have worked directly in or for the London market at several firms. I advise insurers on aspects of their strategy from investments to technology.
