Glen Wild

Exposed clay, crude marks, flaws, imperfections: My work has an aesthetic that deviates from traditional craft where refinement, beauty and underlying functionality are key drivers. I am more interested in the expression of how objects grow and develop; how they assume their own life force and sense of being during the making process and beyond, and how their history can be revealed and remembered by marks and scars. Leaving exposed the realities of the making process and the evidence of my interaction with the material is therefore integral to my approach.
